The Bachelor of Commerce with the degree of Bachelor of Arts - Psychology is a four-year program which provides a double degree in commerce and psychology. This award is taught in English and admission to this award is usually based on secondary and/or tertiary results, as well as meeting the Year 12 HSC Mathematics prerequisite. The Bachelor of Arts - Psychology component is an accredited sequence of study and allows students to proceed to an accredited fourth-year course in psychology, provided the entry requirements are met.

Students must complete one designated People unit and one designated Planet unit. Those units must be taken in two different Faculties. Any unit which is listed below or as part of the student's qualifying major(s) will not satisfy the People unit requirement or Planet unit requirement.

In order to graduate students must ensure that they have satisfied all of the general requirements of the award.

Eligible students may meet the requirements for transfer to the Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) with the degree of Bachelor of Commerce program subject to meeting transfer criteria.

Continuation with the honours year is subject to meeting honours admission requirements. Should a student not meet the requirements, they will graduate with a Bachelor of Commerce with the degree of Bachelor of Arts - Psychology.

Admission to the honours years will require a weighted average SNG (Standard Numerical Grade) of 70 over all Psychology units and a weighted average SNG of 75 over all 300 level Psychology units and a minimum of 72 credit points. Applicants to the fourth year honours program who do not meet these requirements may also be considered on an individual basis.

Overview and Aims of the Program The Bachelor of Commerce with the degree of Bachelor of Arts - Psychology is a four-year program which provides a joint qualification in Commerce and Psychology. This program lets you gain a comprehensive understanding of Commerce and business functions, strategy and skills whilst equipping you with a wide range of fundamental psychological concepts which will help you understand how people think, act and feel.

The Bachelor of Commerce component is a flexible degree which allows you the choice to complete a major from a variety of commerce/business disciplines.

Graduates will meet the requirements of both degrees and will therefore meet the requirements of the accreditation bodies.
