Gendered Intersections - GEND330

This unit is designed to provide students with the opportunity to synthesize their previous learning in the Gender Studies major and bring this background knowledge to their analysis of major debates and theories in Gender Studies, including feminist and queer theories. Students will evaluate different methodological approaches to Gender Studies, and will bring together their understanding of the theories and methods of Gender Studies in their assessments. The assessment tasks, which include a major research project, are designed to deepen the students' understanding of Gender Studies methodologies and practice, and to apply them to research with a view to future study such as the M. Res or professional settings such as policy work.
