Working with Texts - ENGL374

There is extensive evidence of the application of skills that English develops to the world outside University. Employers want graduates with high-level communication and analytical skills. The capabilities that English develops, such as critical analysis, problem-solving, creative thinking and writing skills, are transferable across a wide range of contexts. This unit provides an opportunity for students to engage with the community through a variety of activities, and apply the skills they have acquired during their studies in English in a professional environment. The unit promotes learning through participation with corporate and community partners, as well as the development of graduate capabilities and professional skills.
