Management of Financial Institutions - ECFS848

This unit will examine a number of the more important types of financial institutions (banks, insurers, stockbrokers, funds managers) covering topics such as business models, competitive environment, regulation, risk management, strategic choices, and how their respective industries have evolved. It aims to give a perspective on each of these topics from the Chief Executive's vantage point and focuses on the issues, problems and opportunities that confront the different types of institutions that make up the finance industry. Case studies will be discussed on each topic.
