Advanced Field Techniques - GEOS706

This unit provides opportunities in field methods across the Earth sciences including varied terrain outcrop analysis and marine geochemical sample collection. It provides extended experience in interpretation of geological processes by study of local to regional field relations, and requires preparation of a field report including maps. Excursions may involve bushwalking, heavy lifting, or operations on a moving research vessel, for which a reasonable level of physical fitness is required.
