Contemporary Perspectives on Leadership - MGNT826
This is a “learning in practice” unit. Throughout this unit, students build their competencies in leadership, using contemporary techniques and perspectives. As a foundation, students will explore contemporary models and frameworks relating to leadership. These will be used to assist students to reflect on their personal leadership style and identify areas where their personal capabilities can be enhanced. Through practical, experiential learning, students will then have the ability to hone their skills in team membership and leadership, motivation, persuasion, two-way feedback; delegation and negotiation. As an outcome, students will be equipped to take on the challenge of leadership in contemporary business.
