Manuscript Project - CWPG825
In this unit students write a 25,000 word creative manuscript (or equivalent in the case of poetry), which may be a complete work, or part of a longer work. The unit provides an opportunity for a sustained piece of writing, with students work independently with regular feedback from their supervisor meeting regularly throughout the semester. It is expected that the final work is aligned with a publishable standard. The manuscript is assessed by two readers, one of whom is usually a professional writer writing in a relevant genre.
Local students commence the unit in their second or third year of study. International students undertake the unit concurrently with their other studies. Students commencing Manuscript Project mid-year, enrol in the Half Year equivalent CWPG826; followed by CWPG827 the following semester.
