Social Care and Human Services - SOCX863

This unit examines responses to changing concepts of human need for support. Drawing on applied research and a range of theoretical frameworks it examines studies of care and the delivery of human services in Australia and comparable countries. Students will be introduced to a range of human service types and models and review developments in policy, organisation and funding through the application of a number of different theories and methods. It seeks to develop research skills relevant to researchers, administrators, service professionals or policy makers in the human services field.
