Skills for Dialogue Interpreters 2 - TRAN892

This unit builds on the skills, techniques and knowledge acquired in TRAN891 Skills for Dialogue Interpreters 1. In this unit advanced skills for dialogue interpreting will be discussed and practised: fluent and accurate delivery, glossary development, note-taking for telephone interpreting, sight interpreting and managing the interactional features of communication. Students will acquire an understanding of discourse analysis and its application to the evaluation of their own interpreting performance and that of their peers for sustainable and reflective professional practice.
