Advanced Medical Practice 2 - MEDI854
This unit is offered on a pass/fail basis.
This is the second of two units which facilitate the development of a thorough knowledge and understanding of reflective specialist practice. Skills required for a specialist career will be studied, including reflection and professionalism. Students engage in an intensive, competency-based learning experience in a specialty or sub-specialty of medicine, supported by competency-based assessment in the workplace or workshops and reflective practice portfolios. Reflective practice portfolios allow students to direct their own learning, working independently to develop lifelong reflective learning skills for research and specialist practice.
