Management Accounting - BCM202

This unit provides an introduction to basic accounting and financial management in the organisational context. The unit incorporates basic accounting methods, including the maintenance of appropriate accounting records (income and expenditure), and budgeting for organisations (such as program budgeting). Attention is also paid to legal requirements for the maintenance of accounting records. Students complete several short practical assignments (at the micro-level) covering accounting, fulfilling legal requirements, planning, and budgeting.
