In-Country Study Unit I - ASN315
This unit is offered on a pass/fail basis.
This unit is designed for students of Asian languages offered by the Department who wish to study for a semester at an overseas university, especially at one with which Macquarie University has an exchange agreement. A recognised program of study at the overseas university which is deemed to be the equivalent of 6 credit points at Macquarie University must be worked out in advance in consultation with staff in the individual languages, and approved by the Head of the Department of International Studies. Students are assessed at Macquarie University on their return from overseas. Macquarie University strongly encourages overseas study and provides travel grants on a competitive basis for such study. Students planning to take this option should discuss their plans as early as possible with staff in their language.
