Greek C - AHIS308
This unit aims to develop the skills of history students in order to support advanced study of ancient Greek. The unit offers a systematic analysis of grammar (especially the structure of sentences) and a detailed investigation of original texts. The texts studied include works by Lysias, Homer, Herodotus, Plato, and non-literary documents. The unit illustrates the concepts of dialectal variation and historical development in the classical and post-classical periods.
