Technologies in Schools - TEP244

This unit aims to increase understanding of the existing and potential roles of information communication technologies (ICTs) in schools, and provide our teachers of the future with the capacity to effectively integrate contemporary learning technologies into their lessons. Students develop skills in using computers and multimedia for teaching purposes. Criteria for evaluating software and computer-based teaching strategies are examined. Design tasks include a focus on creating effective Interactive Whiteboard lessons and developing an E-Portfolio of technological capabilities learned throughout the semester.
