Introduction to Linguistics - LING199
This unit will introduce students to a range of areas of linguistics that lay the foundation for upper-level units. The unit will cover topics including: the nature of human language, brain and language, the internal structure of words (morphology), the structure of sentences (syntax), the meanings of words and sentences (semantics), child language acquisition, psycholinguistics, and language use.
