Using Demographic Data in Management - DEM356

This unit enhances students' knowledge of the application of demographic techniques and demographic data in management, especially in public sector management. Some of the topics covered include: analysis of work and employment; analysis of geographic distribution of population; testing the accuracy of demographic data; multiple decrement table and its application; and estimating internal migration. Students are also provided with hands-on skills of analysing census data and writing policy-relevant reports.
