Cross Cultural Management - BBA340
This unit examines the challenges of managing effectively in business environments across borders when people from diverse cultures interact, both within and between firms. Given the globalisation of business, particular attention is paid to managing the increasingly diverse workforce in the Australian context, as well as in the context of Australian firms that conduct business in Asia and beyond. The unit provides a setting for understanding the implications of this increase on the management of cross-cultural dynamics in a multi-cultural business environment. The unit equips students with knowledge of mandatory policy requirements when managing a diverse workplace in order to avoid expensive law suits and punitive damages.
