Egypt in the New Kingdom - AHIS373
This unit is a study of central historical issues of the Amarna Age (from the reign of Amenhotep III to Tutankhamun) based on an interpretation of a range of written sources (royal and non-royal) in the original language against the background of the archaeological record, art and architecture. The unit is designed to deepen students' knowledge of Middle Egyptian language through a close reading of the texts.
