Clinical Chiropractic 4 - CHIR904
This unit has three aims:
1. The unit introduces the student to a broader range of techniques commonly used in the management of patients who attend a chiropractic clinic. To date, students have concentrated primarily on Diversified and Gonstead techniques. Many other modalities exist that are used by the chiropractic profession, and the intent of this unit is to offer a student examples of some of the most commonly used techniques. There will also be exploration of the evidence behind these modalities.
2. The unit facilitates the student's competency in the assessment and management of a wide range of sports injuries in the chiropractic setting in Australia. Students will use a multidisciplinary team-based approach to achieve this goal.
3. The unit advances the students' ability to choose the most appropriate technique in a series of given clinical scenarios.
