Early Development 1 - ABEC213

The focus of this unit is on the development of infants and young children, within the Australian context, with particular emphasis on the implications for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children. Implications for the prenatal, cognitive, social/emotional, language, and motor development during the first three years of life are examined. Assessment in this unit requires students to spend time with an infant and a young child in order to observe various aspects of development.
