Psychological Assessment II - PSY928
This unit covers the principles and methods of psychological assessment in the clinical context. The unit focuses on assessment for treatment planning and outcome assessment in particular clinical disorders. Specific topics include assessment of depression and suicide risk, childhood and adult anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, eating disorders, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, and ADHD. As a result of successful completion of this unit, students will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the process of selection of assessment techniques for treatment planning and outcome assessment in the clinical context, as well as identify the appropriate assessment methods for a range of clinical problems. This unit builds on knowledge acquired in PSY962 Psychological Assessment I.
