Research Methods in Human Geography - HGEO807

This unit explores methods used by human geographers adopting a social science orientation in their research. The unit presents an overview of planning a research project, explores ethical issues in research and considers a range of methodologies available (qualitative and quantitative) including data analysis, interpretation and presentation. HGEO807 offers students an advanced course in human geography qualitative research methods and expands upon broader topics covered at undergraduate level. HGEO807 focus on the interdisciplinary research methods used by human geographers and the issues these methods raise in research.
