BIOL884 is an intensive one month unit that takes place during the first semester of the Postgraduate Diploma in Research Preparation (Science). The intention of the unit is to give students an opportunity to gain exposure to a research area that is unrelated to their diploma research project (BIOL817). Students will formulate a novel research question within a well-defined topic area, conduct a comprehensive review of the primary literature, synthesise this material to address their research question, and present their findings in oral and written forms.
