Admission Requirements:
Possess a MB BS (or equivalent registrable qualification) from a recognised medical school; Full registration as a medical practitioner in jurisdiction of residence or citizenship; Enrolment in an advanced surgical training program; Certificate of Good Standing with registration authority in jurisdiction of residence or citizenship; Eligibility for registration as a medical practitioner in Australia. For international medical graduates an IELTS English language proficiency of at least 7.0 overall with a minimum of 7.0 on any section.
Candidates may undertake study externally to Macquarie University (availability subject to adequate supervisory arrangements). For candidates who are not on campus at Macquarie University Hospital, enrolment is possible providing they are surgical trainees and have ample support to ensure the required assessment tasks can be completed. These candidates may also need to have a component of residential periods at Macquarie University.
