EDUC260: Language, Literacy and Learning
This unit is designed for students who are planning to teach in the primary or secondary school. The unit explores literacy from preschool to secondary school, examines literacy across the curriculum, and showcases the interconnection between literacy, language and learning. While the unit covers literacy from multiple locations (speaking, listening, writing, reading, learning) it has a particular emphasis on writing. Students are also introduced to a number of models of literacy teaching to the English K-6 and 7-10 syllabuses.
