AHIS170: Egyptian Archaeology: An Introduction
This unit deals with the development of Ancient Egyptian society from the Prehistoric period to the end of the New Kingdom as reflected in the archaeological record. The topic are divided into four themes by which the archaeological evidence are investigated: tombs, settlements, temples and objects of daily use. The unit also draws on the results of extensive excavation activities by staff of Macquarie University in Egypt.
