HLTH208: Pathology 2
In this unit, the common pathologies of each body system are studied. Their causes, mechanisms and effects are explored. The links between these disease mechanisms and their clinical manifestations is highlighted. By the completion of this unit, students will have a good knowledge of the major diseases of the body, and how they manifest in the patient. Focus is also placed on facilitating students' skills in being able to derive new information from pre-existing knowledge, as a consequence of learning to access the literature, as well as by the development of a solid foundation in pathophysiological processes.
