ECH320: Developmental Difference and Disability

This unit explores developmental difference and disability in the context of the provision of early childhood education and care. The unit provides students with the opportunity to integrate their knowledge of principles of child development, developmental processes and early childhood pedagogy into a framework focusing on the developmental, interactive and educational needs of young children with disability or difference, and their families. The needs of children and families, and how these are met through social policy, service provision, early intervention and inclusive education are emphasised.
