This unit is appealing to students from a wide range of backgrounds with an interest in the changing size and composition of population in Australia and other countries. Some of the topics covered include: the ageing of Australia's population; the population history of Australia; the use of demography in urban and regional planning in Australia; and skilled migration in the Asia and Pacific region.
