CUL341: Performance Events
This unit looks into the transformative power of performance from a theatre and performance studies perspective. It examines how performance brings about and presents its effects through visual/aural and textual means, bodies, objects, spaces, and situations. The time spent in class consists of approximately 75 per cent production exercise, and 25 per cent production analysis and theoretical study. Students are expected to work in groups for their production practices. Student works are presented publicly in the second half of the semester.
