MMed Medical Elective 4 - MEDI845

This unit is offered on a pass/fail basis.

This is the fourth of 10 clinical units. Each of the units is focused on a different procedure or condition relevant to the specialty or sub-specialty.

Students will develop a thorough knowledge and understanding of current practice in their specialty or sub-specialty. They will reflect upon their own performance based upon supervisor observations of their practice/clinical procedures. Feedback and recommendation for improvement from supervisors will be incorporated into the completion of a reflective practice portfolio.The portfolio is based on self-reflection, evaluation and continual improvement. Reflections and recommendations for each unit are used to improve clinical practice and each unit will demonstrate the progressive development of clinical skills.
