Law Journals - LAWS533

Under the supervision of the editors of the Macquarie Law Journal, this unit is limited to a small number of students per semester, who are selected on the basis of their academic results, experience and writing ability. Classes on law journal publication, legal editing, writing, and referencing are provided, as is a field trip to a major legal publishing house. Each student becomes a Student Editor of the Macquarie Law Journal and participates in the production of the current edition. Students are required to complete a range of tasks, which include communicating with authors and reviewers, checking articles for accuracy and compliance with style, and editing and proofreading academic articles selected for publication.
