Chinese for Heritage Learners II - CHN149
This unit is a continuation of CHN148. It further consolidates and develops students’ skills in the four of the language. Topics introduced in this unit include: describing a place one has been to, exchanging money, taking public transport, talking about a past experience, talking about hobbies, asking about directions, and more. More complex grammatical constructions will be introduced such as the comparative construction, verbal complements, the Ba constructions, and the passive constructions. Through the unit students will also gain a greater understanding of various Chinese cultural aspects such as the transport system, famous historical sites, and holidays and festivals in China.
