This unit extends students' skills for professional practice as advanced translators by providing them with authentic translation commissions in the form of a practicum unit. Included are the core components of professional practice as a freelancer or an in-house translator: business creation and administration, marketing, client relationship management, ethics, engagement with communities of practitioners, and lifelong learning.
