| Overview and Aims of the Program | The program establishes an interdisciplinary program in cyber security in an inherently interdisciplinary field. It seeks to provide students with in-depth theoretical knowledge and practical skills to address cyber security challenges from a multidisciplinary perspective. At the end of the program students will be able to approach complex cyber security challenges from various angles. They will also be equipped with specialist knowledge in one of the three areas. This analytically innovative and rigorous program will enhance the employability of students in the fast evolving job market for cyber security, which spans across the government and private sector. It contributes directly to addressing the cyber security skills gap in Australia and overseas. It is primarily targeted at local students, including those with work experience who seek to upskill their academic qualifications in this field. This market driven degree also benefits the students through close collaboration with Optus and other major companies in the context of the Cyber Security Hub which will provide a unique learning & teaching experience. |
