Perception II - PSY342
This unit deals with a number of advanced topics in Perception, concentrating on current research in vision including mechanisms for processing motion, stereoscopic depth, faces and body image disturbance. It also deals with the study of reading; reading disability; and other perceptual disorders. In addition to lectures about recent experiments and the theories that they address, practical lab sessions aim to give students training in the research skills used in psychophysics and other related areas of psychology as preparation for future study at honours level and beyond.
