English as a Foreign Language in Practice - EFLA100

This continuing EFL unit is designed to further develop skills in reading, comprehension, speaking and writing for students from non-English speaking backgrounds. The unit covers fundamental areas of structural properties of the English language and aspects of its variation and change, analysis of the language in use and the application of English-language communication skills. The unit is taught in blended mode with a strong online component and a range of assessment focusing on meaningful tasks and gaining an appreciation of the English language in a range of settings including Australian academic and professional contexts.
