Reel, Flash and Deadly: Indigenous People in Film and Television - ABST203
This unit will examine the roles, representations and achievements of Indigenous people in film, television and radio. Students will also explore the role of community-based media. The unit will focus on Indigenous Australia, but will also include an international perspective. Students will engage with films such as Jedda, The Chant of Jimmy Blacksmith, Samson and Delilah, The Sapphires and television programs such as Redfern Now.
