Empirical Research Methods in Accounting and Finance - MGSM980

This research unit focus on the statistical principles and methods needed for the design, analysis and critical appraisal of empirical studies. This unit covers the study of descriptive statistics, frequency and probability distributions, hypothesis testing, simple linear regression, correlation and computer modelling for research. At the end of the unit, students will be able to design and carry out research projects, critically evaluate research proposals, and evaluate research results.
