Specialist Skills Rotation 13 - MEDI883
This unit is offered on a pass/fail basis.
This unit is part of a series of units, where students will develop a thorough knowledge and understanding of reflective specialist practice. Through integration with the specialist team, students develop skills required for an academic specialist career, including reflection and professionalism. The students engage in an intensive, competency-based learning experience in a specialty or sub-specialty of medicine or surgery, supported by assessment in the workplace and reflective practice portfolios. Each unit is focused on a particular procedure or condition relevant to the specialty or sub-specialty, as agreed upon with the student’s supervisor. Reflective practice portfolios allow students to direct their own learning, working independently to develop lifelong reflective learning skills for specialist medical or surgical research and practice.
