Foundations of Regional Security - PICT602

With the end of the Cold War, new geo-strategic security challenges, as well as solutions, have emerged at the regional level. This unit is designed to assess and analyse Australia's complex regional security environment and critically evaluate regional dynamics that are being shaped by emerging trends and powers in the Indo-Pacific region. The unit will introduce and explore different theoretical approaches to international security at a regional level in order to develop a sound and ethically engaged awareness of emerging security challenges in Australia's region, as well as potential solutions.
