Professional Practice 6 - MEDI811
This is the last of six units on professional practice, it utilises the internationally recognised CanMEDS competencies to develop students’ knowledge and skills in professional practice. There are six competencies that constitute the Medical Expert: Communicator, Scholar, Collaborator, Manager, Health Advocate, and Professional. In this unit, students will enhance their understanding of and competence in the delivery and coordination of safe patient care by focusing on these competencies which will be developed progressively throughout the six units. Teaching will include ongoing development over the duration of the degree through a spiralling curriculum design.
