Advanced Topics in Attention and Consciousness - COGS750
In this unit we will discuss the major research works on visual attention. We will relate those works on attention to current theories of visual awareness and consciousness. Theoretical approaches covered will include those of Dehaene, Lamme, Baars and Koch. Students will examine and critically appraise the key articles, and will develop a broad knowledge of content in the field as well as independent research and evaluation skills.
