This unit provides a comprehensive analysis of the elements comprising the Australian healthcare system. It will benefit current or prospective healthcare practitioners in the public and private sectors by addressing management and leadership issues facing clinicians, senior and middle managers, administrators and planners in the pharmaceutical industry, hospitals, care facilities, and medical device companies. Key topics associated with the health status and care needs of the Australian population, inter-governmental relations and stakeholders and their interests are explored to equip future leaders in the healthcare sector with the knowledge and skills to make significant improvements in the design and delivery of healthcare services.
