Specialist Skills 2 - MEDI813
This unit is offered on a pass/fail basis.
Students will gain experience in specialist skills relevant to their chosen specialty. This unit is designed to incorporate technical and non-technical skills required for the safe and effective diagnosis and treatment of patients. These skills include dexterity, ergonomics, and the understanding of the design and function of relevant medical equipment, fully integrating these aspects with clinical decision making. This is the second of four units on specialist skills in this degree. Teaching will include ongoing development of specialist skills over the duration of the degree through a spiralling curriculum design.
