Organisational Communication - LING960

This unit examines communication in the contemporary workplace from both a theoretical and practical perspective. Topics include: the effect of organisational structure and culture on communications; how organisational identity and values are realised through social and discursive practice; the impact of organisational change, new media and technology on workplace communications; working with stakeholders; and emerging organisational trends. Throughout the unit students are encouraged to reflect on these topics in light of their own workplace experiences.
