The Byzantine Eastern Frontier - AHPG819

This unit traces developments in the conflict between the Byzantine Empire and Sasanian Persia from c. 364–640 CE. It also focuses on cultural exchange between the two empires and the way religious developments in both impacted on exchange and conflict. A range of sources are employed in the unit, including ancient texts, archaeology and numismatics.
