Islamic banking and finance refers to a system of banking and finance that is consistent with the principles of Shariah (Islamic Jurisprudence). The aim of this unit is to explore the origin, theory and practice, achievements, problems, challenges and future prospects of Islamic banking and finance in the contemporary global financial world.
