Reading Academic Texts in German I - INTS600
The aim of this reading course is to introduce students to the main principles of the German language in order to enable them to read academic texts in German. They will develop a basic vocabulary and insight into grammatical structures, practice language learning techniques, use relevant tools such as dictionaries (both general and specialist dictionaries) and computer-based translation programs. Students will acquire a reading strategy enabling them to unravel and translate more complex texts, thus preparing them with the tools to access scholarly work in their research discipline.
