Psychology at Work: Theory, Research and Application - PSY434

This unit is subject to a quota. Limited places are available. Please refer to the Faculty for further information

This unit gives students insight into theory, research and practice in industrial, work and organisational psychology. While practical issues are covered, the primary focus is on conceptual understanding rather that professional skills (consistent with APS requirements for fourth-year students). Students acquire valuable knowledge about how a specific approach to psychology is applied in the context of workplace issues and practices. Students learn about some misunderstood and controversial issues in the field, and develop critical thinking skills that will help when making decisions that affect their own lives as well as the lives of others.
